Where the data comes from
Everything on the board is fetched by the Pi itself, straight from these free public services. None of them need an API key.
Wind: Open-Meteo, Met Office UKMO model
Hourly mean wind, gusts (both in knots, 10 m above ground) and direction for every spot, from
Open-Meteo's UK Met Office API
with models=ukmo_seamless. That uses the Met Office's high-resolution UK model in the near term and
their global model further out. One request covers all 17 spots, and the board interpolates
between hours to get 30-minute slots.
The same request also returns sunrise and sunset, which set the daylight window for each day.

Tides: UK Hydrographic Office EasyTide
High- and low-water times and a 30-minute height curve (metres above chart datum), about 7 days ahead, from Admiralty EasyTide. Each spot uses the tide station you pick for it on the Spots page. Predictions don't change, so each station is cached for 12 hours. If EasyTide is unreachable, the board uses the last cached copy.
